Q |
1. Why should I remove the insoles that came with my shoes? |
A |
Often the insoles or sockliners that come with your shoes have a piece that extends up along the inside arch of the shoe. Some shoes even come with an arch "cookie" placed in the arch of the shoe. When Archmolds are placed on top of these factory inserts, the additional material exaggerates the arch support, This can cause the foot to be very uncomfortable or even cause pain.
Additionally, the existing insert takes up room in the shoe which will probably cause the shoe to be too tight if it isn't removed.

Q |
2. What is the most common cause of heel pain? |
A |
According to WebMD, plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of heel pain. It occurs when the long, flat ligament on the bottom of the foot stretches irregularly and develops small tears that cause the ligament to become inflamed.
Nonsurgical treatment includes rest, ice, anti-inflammatory drugs, stretching exercises, shoe inserts (insoles), or night splints. In some cases, corticosteroid injections may be used to reduce the inflammation of plantar fasciitis.
Archmolds insoles support the bottom of the foot allowing the healing process to take place. Without proper support, the bottom of the foot may never heal.

Q |
3. Do I need to customize the insoles before I wear them? |
A |
You can wear Archmolds Custom Insoles without molding them. Their initial shape starts out like the perfectly formed anatomically correct foot and depending on the abnormalities of your foot, you might be able to use them right out of the package. After Personalizing, the insole will still support the base of the foot, in a manner that the body was designed. Personalizing will help reduce pressure points caused by imperfect feet.
Q |
4. I often wear different size shoes, which size should I choose? |
A |
You should choose the larger size shoe that you wear. For example, many people wear a size 9 dress shoe but a size 10 sport shoe. When ordering Archmolds Custom Insoles they should order size 10.
Q |
5. Can I remold my Archmolds insoles more than once? |
A |
Your Archmolds Custom Insoles can be remolded up to 5 times to improve comfort; however, when the Insoles are remolded, the support benefits may be diminished.

Q |
8. What is the lifespan of an Archmolds insole? |
A |
It is hard to put an exact duration on the lifespan of Archmolds due to the wide variance of factors associated with each individual runner/walker. I would say that, in our experience, as long as the product is aesthetically fine (i.e. no visible signs of wear like an eroded top sheet, etc.) and feels good, there is no need to replace it.
On the other hand, there are those that say it is a good idea to get a new pair every time you get a new pair of shoes. Of course, the decision is ultimately yours to make.
